£2,000 raised for UK Sepsis Trust
In October, our group marketing manager Gemma Warren took part in the Great South Run, an annual 10-mile road race held in Portsmouth. This year was the 30th anniversary of the race.
Gemma was fundraising for The UK Sepsis Trust, following the sudden and unexpected passing of her mother in January this year. Not knowing much about sepsis prior to this year, Gemma has been on a mission to educate and increase awareness among friends and colleagues, of this life-threatening reaction from the body’s immune system.
Having started with an initial fundraising target of £500, Gemma has now raised over £2,000 for The UK Sepsis Trust, and completed the Great South Run in 2hr 18m.
She was also in the top 3% of fundraisers via Just Giving in October.
Well done Gemma!
